Wouldn't it only be fair to us regular people if politicians and political appointees, upon discovery of evidence for illegal activity, were simply arrested, charged, and prosecuted, rather than being called to Congress to testify? And, wouldn't it be satisfying if a Congressional investigation were directed toward discovering truth, rather than establishing political leverage or growing diversion?
