Confused

It's very difficult to understand how an educated political faction and (at least once upon a time) journalistic community can together become so deeply committed to studying history, identifying those characteristics of governments that create failure and hardship, and attempting to implement those very characteristics. And, while implementing them, maintaining a total attitude of arrogance, supported by a self-righteous indignation and complete disgust with any opposing view, especially if that view is supported by history, facts, or experiential evidence.
